The 2011 Annual Report reviews the Tourism Alliance's activities over the previous year including the production of 'Tourism For Growth' - an objective view of the new Government Tourism Policy, lobbying on the FHL Rules, Fait Tax on Flying and Daylight Saving.
The Tourism Alliance is supporting Rebecca Harris' private member's bill to introduce daylight saving for a trial 3 year period.
Research shows that this would provide numerous benefits including increased tourism employment, reduced fatalities on the roads, reduced carbon emissions and increased outdoor activity.
