This was the third full meeting of the Tourism Alliance. The primary purpose of the meeting was to hear members’ comments, and to consider the Alliance's formal response to the DCMS' announcement regarding the restructuring of the delivery of tourism.
Members met to discuss progress since the launch of the Tourism Alliance Spending Priorities Repor and to discuss issues surrounding training and job creation within the sector and the challenges that these presented.
The first meeting of the full Tourism Alliance took place on March 4 at Centre Point. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss some of the challenges currently facing tourism, to outline the issues raised in the Alliance's proposed submission for the Spending Review 2002, and to take on board members’ comments on the submission.
