Regional Spatial Strategies - Timetables and Contacts

Tuesday 17 May 2005, 11:55 AM

In 2004, the Government introduced Regional Spatial Strategies to better deliver policy at the regional level than the current Regional Planning Guidance (RPG). The RSSs, being developed by the Regional Assemblies, are important to tourism development as they provide a spatial framework to inform the preparation of LDDs, Local Transport Plans (LTPs) and regional and sub-regional strategies and programmes that have a bearing on land use activities for up to 20 years. Attached, therefore is each Regional Assembly’s timetable and key contacts for RSS development.
