Submission on Proposed Mandatory Code for Licenced Businesses

The Tourism Alliance has put forward a strong submission to the Department of Health critising their proposed manditory code of practise for licenced premises as being an unwarranted and unjustified burden on the tourism sector.

Licensing Inquiry - TA Submission

Attached is a copy of the written evidence that the Tourism Alliance presented to the Culture Media and Sport Select Committee for their inquiry on the effects of the Licensing Act 2003. The Alliance has called for the findings of the Elton Inquiry into Licence Pricing to be implemented as soon as possible, further resources be dedicated to reducing the inconsistent local interpretation and implementation of the Act and a review of enforcement requirements be undertaken in an attempt to reduce the overall cost of licensing
